Bishop is an assistant you reach by text and by phone. This page explains exactly what it keeps, why, and how to get all of it back — or get rid of all of it — at any time.

What we collect

Account details

Your email address, display name and workspace name. Used to sign you in and to keep your workspace separate from everyone else's.

Messages and calls

Texts sent to and from your line, call records, and — when you leave recording switched on — voicemail audio and transcripts. Used to answer on your behalf and to show you the history.

Assistant memory

Facts your assistant saves from your conversations, plus any documents you add to its library. Used so it doesn't ask you the same thing twice.

Usage and billing

Reply counts, model usage and cost per message, subscription status, and receipts from web checkout, the App Store or Google Play.

Stored logins and cards

Only what you deliberately add to the vault or spending settings. These are encrypted before they are stored and are never shown back to you in full.

Device information

Basic technical information from your browser or phone so notifications and the installed app work.

Calls, recording and consent

Call recording and transcription are switched on by default and can be switched off in Settings at any time. When recording is on, callers hear a spoken notice at the start of the call and before a voicemail, and callers are told they are speaking with an AI assistant.

Recording laws differ by state and country. You are responsible for making sure recording is lawful where you and your callers are. If you are unsure, turn recording off — everything else keeps working.

Who else sees it

  • Our telephony carrier, to actually deliver your texts and connect your calls.
  • Our AI model provider, to generate replies. Your conversations are not used to train their models.
  • Our payment providers, to take payment and issue receipts.
  • Our hosting and database provider, which stores your workspace data.

We do not sell your data, and we do not share it for advertising.

How long it's kept

Conversations, calls and assistant memory are kept until you delete them or delete your account. You can set a shorter retention window in Settings, after which older messages and call records are removed automatically.

When you delete your account, everything in your workspace is queued for permanent removal. You have seven days to change your mind, or you can ask for it to happen immediately. Billing records we are legally required to keep are retained for as long as the law requires.

Your choices

Export everything

Settings → Privacy & data → Export. You get a single file with your workspace, conversations, calls, tasks, notes and billing history.

Delete your account

Settings → Privacy & data → Delete account. No email, no support ticket. It works from inside the app, including on iPhone and Android.

Block a number

Blocked numbers are turned away before your assistant ever sees the message.

Report a reply

Anything the assistant says can be reported from the app. Reports go to your workspace's review queue.

Children

Bishop is not intended for anyone under 17. We don't knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has used Bishop, contact us and we'll remove the account.
